Introduction

Companies that store, produce, or handle flammable chemicals are within the scope of ATEX regardless of the storage quantities. In this regard, according to the “Regulation on the Protection of Workers from Hazards of Explosive Atmospheres,” facilities are required to prepare or have prepared an Explosion Protection Document.

According to Article 10(d) of the “Regulation on the Protection of Workers from Hazards of Explosive Atmospheres,” the suitability of equipment in explosive atmospheres should also be assessed within the explosion protection document.
